Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

My Philips busy dying. :crying:

When the fan slows down it makes cluck cluck cluck. As if it is hitting against something. Warranty expired November last year, so no luck there.

Before you get too drastic try flipping it upside down and cleaning it properly.

There is a lot of gunk in there.

Can even use oven cleaner spray but then you need to take a brush to it and really clean it out properly afterwards to not get that kak in your food.

Don’t need to strip it and I wouldn’t do that before cleaning it like this anyway as it will be a filthy mess to work with.

I've cleaned it properly with a brush and cleaner. I think the problem is the bearings are worn or the center bolt needs some tightening.

Aah yes likely needs a bit of a lube and torquing up.

But also worth trying your luck with Philips.

Many a long winded letter of great disappointment in a known and trusted brand has seen me getting sorted out well outside warranty.

Quick one, before I go through 89 pages.
Phillips Daily Collection 2.2L on Takealot @ R1599? Milex 3.6L R1499?
Clicks Kambrook Digital 5.5L R1499 worth considering?
Clicks Kambrook 4.6L at R1299?

Pick brand, proven, or size, because size vs Price Phillips loses out easily?

The Daily Collection on sale is only 0.8l?

I actually found that filling it with boiling water and abit of sunlight and turning it on for 5 minutes prevents gunk building up as the steam does wonders

800g or 2.2l

I don't want to airfry a pigeon sized chicken at under 800g though. Philips also has the XL 1.2Kg / 6.2L but I don't like the price at over R3K. I had a look at one of the expensive Philips ones at Makro yesterday, the basket had a smooth gliding mechanism, much better than the older Philips (daily range?) that I saw a year back. But again at a price.

Good point I actually do that one in a while as well.

There was some other home brew concoction as well but I don’t remember now what it was. Might have been vinegar or baking soda or even both.

I have the Philips Essential XL Air Fryer 9260/91 . I am looking for the accessories, not sure which fit it though? Does the 9240 accessories fit? With size in the name, I only seem to find XXL accessories.
Specifically looking for the grill type accessories, as well as pizza. See links.
Thanks.
