Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

How I make air fryer chips for 2 people, and they are fantastic:

Peel potatoes and cut into thick chips (3 medium / 2 large)
Place in a microwave safe container with lid
Mix teaspoon of bicarb with enough water to cover potatoes.
microwave for 5.5minutes.
drain water and let chips air dry for a new minutes.
sprinkle with oil, put on lid, and shake to coat with oil and to form a “mash” exterior.
airfry @ 180 for 15 minutes.
shake/turn
Airfry @ 180 for another 8-15 minutes depending on thickness and desired brownness

Much how make roast potatoes as well.

Time seems a bit long unless that’s like a kilogram of potatoes.

My Philips busy dying. :crying:

When the fan slows down it makes cluck cluck cluck. As if it is hitting against something. Warranty expired November last year, so no luck there.
Mine did that too... I just stuck a thin screwdriver between the element and bent the fan a bit. All good after that.

I think my Philips is just very dirty due to excessive use. Has anyone opened up their Philips and take the element out to clean it properly?

I think the fan also just need a bit of tightening as there is a singe bolt keeping it in place.

would also like to open mine to clean it. oil buildup
Yes please document.

I turned mine upside down to look at the element and the oil and fat build up was noticeable.

Its difficult to clean without dismantling so I will be interested

Been looking for a few accessories for my Philips XL Airfryer but everything available in SA is only for the XXL.

Found this link which looks decent, anyone tried these ? (Actually only want the gird so I can cook chicken on top and vegies at the bottom but might opt for the entire pack)
