Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Why are some of you so emotionally invested in these table top convection ovens?
Trying to cause problems? Not everyone can afford or accommodate a real oven in their kitchen. At least that's how one devotee explained it to me the other day.

Must be nice not being able to distinguish between something that is deep fried and something that is air fried (baked in a convection oven)
Are you suggesting AirFryers might have an unrefined palate?

Same difference. The airfryer still cause Maillard effect.
That’s a good point. That reaction won’t happen in the presence of water and an Air Fryer is going to be more effective at evaporating surface moisture than a regular oven.

Polymathic was referring to deep fried foods - IOW submerged in oil. Not oven baked in a traditional oven or a countertop model.
