Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Haven't switched my oven on in yonks. The airfryer just cooks faster and more evenly.

Yeah it’s purely time/volume based for me.

If the total time of multiple air fries is going to be more than pre-heating and using the oven then I simply fire up the oven.

But that’s a 1/10 or even less cooks and always involves a hard core half a day in the kitchen scenario.

Oh and sour dough isn’t happening in the air fryer.

This. It is all about volume and quantity.

Why? Don't you think bread baking works in an air fryer?

Normal breads and other kinds of baking sure, but even then size is an issue.

For sour dough you need a sealed off container to retain the steam to really get it to rise properly.

My old AF is falling apart. I really need to buy a new one.

Mine is the old Dial timer version. Think its been 8 years. Whats the new version thats worth it?

We got one a year ago. its basically a convection oven and is generally highly overrated. The reason we got one is mostly to fry some of the kids food. other than that its still pretty average. Its convenient sure. revolutionary, naah.
