Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

By the way I tried the Xiaomi this weekend and granted I didn't measure it with a ruler, but taking my sourdough loaf there after measuring it in my XL it's pretty damn imperceivable if it is in fact any smaller.

The Philips with the double basket setup creates a very false sense of size and then the rounded design makes it more so. The Xiaomi being very square and upright makes it seem small externally, but the actual basket inside is much of a muchness really.

Worked very nicely and is super quiet as well, my only gripe is that at least in the manual mode it didn't have a built-in pre-heat mode and I just let it run for a couple of minutes manually.

I do believe I read/watched somewhere that there is a pre-heating function but suspect this may only apply in the "automatic" modes and maybe when using the App.

All in all very impressed and if my Philips died tomorrow I would buy one.

Pre-heat isn't a big deal though and if you cook the same thing with regularity you figure out how many minutes you can just add to the total and put stuff in cold.

No starfish design with the Xiaomi thus more real estate. Its still no Philips though.

Isn't it like 3.5l vs 6.2l?

That's good news as the wife already hinted that she wants a Xiaomi .... i take it I can give her the go-ahead ?

From what I've seen it's a pretty damn good deal, especially if you are more price and space conscious. Also looks nicer than the black abomination.

Just shop around (Takealot) as there is quite a bit of specials going on and it should be about R1600-ish.

Best deal it seems.

I mean for the price you could literally buy two if you have such a big need.

I haven't used the newer Philips models, but everything I've seen about the product was of a better overall quality than my Philips.

The white also somehow feels less plastic.
