Hi everyone

This morning had a rather odd message come up on the Airfryer screen “E1” which according to the Phillips website says the Airfryer was in a too cold environment (can’t be true with the weather we having doesn’t drop below 20)

I tried different plugs multiple power cycles (which gets passed the error screen but when starting it just switches off again and displays error E1)

Anyone had any experience with this particular error as it really can’t be due to cold ambient temperature

From Google:

How do I reset my Philips air fryer?

To factory reset your Airfryer, press the temperature up button and time up button simultaneously for about 10 sec. Once the device resets, it may take up to two minutes for it to be ready for use.

Why does my air fryer keep saying E1?

In general, "E1" could indicate issues such as a malfunctioning temperature sensor, overheating, or other internal faults. I recommend consulting the user manual for your air fryer to find the specific meaning of the error code and the recommended troubleshooting steps.

Error Codes starting with E or 0x:

E1 or 0x1002
Your airfryer was probably stored in a cold place. Unplug the appliance and let it rest for 30 minutes before plugging it in again.
  1. If your device was stored at a low ambient temperature, let it adjust to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before plugging it in again.
  2. If the error code remains on the display after plugging in again, please contact Philips for further assistance.

Think it has a faulty thermostat, E1 relating to cold ambient temperature makes no sense temp hasn’t dropped below 20 degrees here

Reset it and no difference, tried different plug sockets as well

Returning which will leave no Airfryer for a week

Our cheap Milex is still going strong
