Pierre de Vos on the DA

That's odd I thought you'd recognize it being so well versed in the art of race baiting yourself.

I know. All anyone has to do is use the r-word in a sentence and that counts as race baiting. Usually it goes like this:

Random poster: "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, racism sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua."

Alan: "OMG you're such a racist therefore all my arguments are true and I win bye!"

;)

Scewed and tarnished by hatred? Piere de Vos is one of the leading constitutional law experts in the country. He is currently the Claude Leon Foundation Chair in Constitutional Governance at UCT.

When he slams the ANC he is admired by all DA supporters and quoted far and wide. When he slams the DA, he is "scewed and twisted".

Pathetic.
Develop some moral backbone, read the excellent analysis, and criticize the DA when they do wrong. Otherwise you are just showing blind loyalty

Unfortunately the manner in which this piece of crud is written is all but professional and hardly becoming of an expert.

It shows what a mess we're in when even supposed 'leading constitutional law experts 'resort to "baas" race baiting like this.

I'd still be interested to know who he votes for or should I say won't vote for.....

This guy was making a couple of good points, until...

Given our history and given the racial profile of the DA, one would be forgiven for concluding that the DA believes only white people can be trusted, that white people therefore do not have to follow general principles of constitutional democracy and good governance, and that white people are therefore allowed to deal with each situation on its own merits without having to stick to the rules it claims to respect and honour. Black people, on the other hand, must be held to a higher standard because they are inherently unprincipled and corrupt enemies of democracy.

There is no evidence to support this ridiculous conclusion. I cannot take this guy seriously anymore as he has fallen into the trap so many other people do; assuming that the reason is always race and not other things. I can come up with a few other reasons, e.g. maybe they arn't racist and just partyist? Maybe they have double standards for themselves because thats what basically all politicians do. But because it is the DA, they are racist....

Ignoring that he did make a few good points, but of course the DA isn't perfect no party is. But saying that you shouldn't vote for the DA because of them being hypocrites and should rather vote for the ANC who are extremely corrupt and incompetent, is just stupid and only the likes of Djtay would think like that. It is like comparing a school bully to a serial murderer and saying the murderer is a better person because the other guy bullies people.

The DA leaders are just politicians in it for themselves not for the voters, if opportunity arises they will be quick to jump into bed with the same ANC they are always attacking. Look at some of their leaders like Peter Leon, Douglas Gibson and others, they are currently in cushy government positions funded by the taxpayers courtesy of the ANC. Zille would do the same if opportunity arose.
