Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!

@Paul Kemp I have made the dough recipe that you posted. What a difference! My first go with the PNP bread dough was an absolute waste of time, did not teach me anything about the oven really.

Using proper dough without sugar was amazing. Turned the oven to low (normal low not the secret low) when launching, and I was actually able to turn up to full blast for that final sizzle after a few turns.

I started by grilling some sliced mushroom in a cast iron skillet, then added some of my home pickled jalapeno slices, feta and some fresh garlic.

Very happy with this first proper try of the oven!

Those look great and they’ll get even better as you fine tune the process and ingredients.

Thanks! Was really satisfying to finally make decent fast bake pizza at home. Great dough, easy enough to work with for a beginner like me.

Unfortunately my insulation blanket is too thick to go under the stone, I will rethink this. But the oven does seem to perform just fine in stock form, would be nice to have shorter recovery between pizzas. But it was extremely windy last night so that didn't help

Thanks for posting the pics - the Milex seems to have done a decent job. I see it is now R6k on Takealot, R5k direct from Milex.

Pleasure I think it's a good indication of what the oven can do with a beginner using it and not an influencer that just unboxes it.

If you are looking at getting one I'm sure the price will drop to R4000 or R4500 again soon

My setup is very low rent. Just old bits of wood slapped together and G\F-clamps as wind breakers.

Other than that, as a comparison between the Miles and Ooni, they seem to do the job exactly the same.

Pizza time!

Was supposed to be type 0 vs 00 but wife mixed up the pizza dough balls after I prepared the dough... Urgh!!!!!

Whats all those white thingies? Pieces of mozzarella?
Not sure to be honest. I didn't watch this one being made. Probably Mozzarella. Was a bring your own toping. So everything from Chorizo to artichokes and anchovies. More than 12 custom pizzas were enjoyed :)
