Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!

has anyone tried, Pizza Stones?

the ones you have to preheat in an oven then you place your raw base over it, create your pizza and back in the oven it goes???

i have seen them around for sale, relatively cheap.

Debonairs are permanently scratched of my list. For cheese you have to ask for "double" cheese and on their triple decker "MeaTY" special" you have to scrounge around for meat, absolutely about nothing on the bottom layer.

Debonairs also off my list forever. Will never go there again after I observed the person making my pizza picking her nose (digit right up the nostril!) She actually saw me checking this out and just carried on unconcernedly, which really made me angry.

Obviously cancelled my order and demanded a refund from the disinterested manager.
Even complained to their head office.

Area manager did contact me to say 'Ja well OK, thanks for letting us know' no follow up nada.

I make my own pizza at home with my own dough. Quick and easy. Mondays are pizza days :P

Basic Recipe from memory (could have an error)

375ml flour
150ml luke warm water (To activate yeast)
Pinch of Salt
15ml butter
5ml yeast.

Ive been toying with it and like to add a pinch of sugar to it.

Pizza hut is in SA, Dominoes Pizza to launch soon, if you add St Elmos, Debonairs, Panarottis and Romans Pizza to the list we are spoiled for choice!

Can things get any better as a Pizza lover?

I thought Dominoes is taking over St Elmos.

I had Pizza Hut a couple of weeks ago when I was travelling and it was ok'ish but still nowhere near as good as a local independent pizzeria. But otherwise, Col'cacchio is the best of the chains.

Dammit I'm hungry...

Isn't it both? Taste owns St Elmos and Scooters and got ahold of DOminoes and they're converting those former 2 into the latter.

Would be crazy to get rid of st. Elmo's. Much better reputation than scooters which is just plain shyte.
