Platinum Strike Ends

O so you can?

I can only speak to those that work for me, but overall I have never seen much to make me say that workers are not efficient in SA (Which is not to to say that you don't find more workers elsewhere)

I agree she was generalizing by all means. However so where you when saying "most workers are efficient"

You took offence for her generalization but do exactly the same ;)

Yes. That is how it works. But what is with the hostility to your fellow workers?

I have not seen one person in here defending the striking workers for killing their fellow workers or intimidating those who want to go back to work

I do agree with you that out of the striking miners there where some who wanted to work but could not due to intimidation. However, the amount of those workers are dwarfed by the amount of those laxy fk tards who just want handouts.

True. The reason I said "most are efficient" is due to many South African industries are quite globally competitive, without a much bigger capitalisation, which means workers are efficient

No, I meant what is up with the hostility to your fellow workers - the mineworkers. The attitudes I've seen here are as if people here are owners of capital too, instead of just being workers too

I can promise you that if mines could they would be able to get the job done with less and more hardworking employees. Like at how productive some mines are all over the world with 1/2 the work force SA has and even get paid less. Too much protection in the mining sector and Unions in general. Do away with Unions. We need a Thatcher !!!!

Why would you want them to get paid less????

Now you have clearly lost me...

No, I have no idea what you do or if you work for someone else. Statistics say you work for someone or own a small business. Neither one makes you a owner of capital. You're a worker too.
Of course there are exceptions, are there is probably one person on this forum that will buck that trend

I do agree that the mine owners should employ less people, upskill them with machinery and pay them more

I'll give you that, I am employed and I can say I don't earn too little. Not enough obviously :p

The problem we have here in SA is this whole entitlement the majority of this country has. And we're lazy as hell. That includes me too. We have it easy here tbh.
