I think any PS4 at this stage would be a good buy :) :p

HDD is used to store stuff like Music/Videos/Pics etc but you can just stream those over Wi-Fi from your PC via Tversity if you have a home wireless network..

It's also used for storing game data such as save games, game install data (to save loading times) and stuff like that ;)

LOL. Damn 4 or to close to the 3 on my keyboard.

Ok, so all the consoles are the same, except for the following:
1. HDD size.
2. amount USB ports
3. Backwards compatibility.

All of them have.
1. HDMI
2. 1080p output
3. Blueray
4. 5.1 Sound output?

Just a correction, only the PS3 has blu-ray.
 
Oh...he thought I meant all consoles... I get it.

Anyways - the guy with the 40GB one hasn't come back to me... my search continues.

If your gonna buy form gumtree or some such site and the console is R2k make sure its not some scam.

The only difference with the different PS3s is the size of the HDD these days, rest of the spec is the same for all of them. The only one that truly was different was the old 60Gb which was backwards comaptible with PS2.

i'm also looking at spending my ebucks :)

Just checked - Makro accept ebucks too.
