You're right - there were only a few games, unfortunatley :/ And if I recall, they were generally worse than the Xbox 360 version. I remember the phrase everyone used to scream 'it's ported! Wait until they unlock the potential!' ... which has happened recently.

The technological gap grew within the 6 years and sales increased with the continuous price cuts and watered down versions. I think even Sony knew if they didn't do something, they'd lose the battle before they even started.

What games am I playing on my Xbox ... ?

Do you argue the fact that the PS3 now have desirable functions the Xbox may never receive? The value of fact that the 3D capability will enhance the BluRay capability may not be underestimated.

IMHO the "war" ended the day the PS3 was released.

so stupid to start his ps3/xbox stuff again.

its really very simple

xbox as a game console is superior over ps3 - it just is, anyone disagreeing is either lying or in denial.

The ps3 is a better overall media centre device - so big yahoo its getting 3d so what, who here has a 3d tv??? still though, could be cool for the future

my ps3 is siting gathering dust while the xbox is used on a daily basis, and when the kiddies play it is always xbox, then wii and the ps3 is ignored.

I hate the ps3 controls, they are rubbish and hamper game play, but its worth keeping as a blu ray player and thats what is used for.

Well im the exact opposite- Xbox gathesrs dust while the PS3 is used daily, both have a decent control system actually, but if you are used to the Xbox controller you might think the PS controller to be inferior.

Guess it depends on what game you're 'into' at the moment and just bought?

If I've been longing for Forza 3 and just bought, I'd be sitting on my Xbox all day and the PS3 would gather dust. If I just got given some cool new PS3 game for my birthday, I'd be playing that while the Xbox 360 gathers dust ...

I went PS1, PS2 and a PS3 for a short while - so am used to the PS controller but prefer the Xbox controller. Would be pretty awesome if Sony updates it for the PS4 ... I think that control design is about 15 years old ;)

That's your opinion. In my opinion my PS3 is alot better for gaming than my 360, just because of the amount of quality exclusives. Uncharted for example is my favourite gaming franchise from now on
 
sorry dude, but it has nothing to do with titles, its with how the console and the actual controllers handle the game.

BUT will not disagree with you regarding Uncharted 2 - it is a game worth buying the PS3 for!
 
Avoiding any "This console is better" discussion stuff but isn't the controller basically just a Wii device for PS3 while the Kinect is actually full body motion tracking?
 
the PS3 move tracks where the control is, which is in fact more accurate then the Xbox camera tracking body motions. I have tested the move and its honestly fantastic, Wii is probally gonna get old now very fast.
