Please help me make a choice!

It's also the kind of stuff that you will have to marry until death do you part.

Yeah, those specific ones.. I'm not denying that..

But you can get SO much more car for your money if you aren't so blinkered by the "new" BS... or that it mustn't be older than 1 year.

I can only assume it's because the average South African male is too macho for a 500. As if a Vivo or a Figo is the embodiment of manliness.
lol too true, but if you floor it from robot to robot, and weave through traffic to no end, well, now that's pure masculinity :p

I think Figo's look better on the outside than the Vivos, inside Vivo has the slight edge.

Why they crap names though :)

I have looked at the figo...and really it looks good on paper but as soon as i opened that door i was dissapointed, I would rather pay R5000 more and not have electric windows and know I have bought a car that I wanted.

What do you guys think of the Fiat 500? I am really interestd in this car, but how is Fiat's services etc.
Is it a car worth buying? (resale value etc.)

BCO had excellent service from a Panda 4x4. It's worth sending him a PM and asking him rather than wait for everyone to chirp about Fiats, based on hearsay.

I had a Panda, and it was very reliable, services weren't too expensive etc. Considering that the 500 is based on the Panda, things should be the same. A nice thing about Fiats is the long service intervals - 20000km on the 500, if I recall correctly.

Not sure about resale, though.

I have (surprisingly to me) only heard good things about Fiat from a few people. A 500 would not be a bad choice, and it will definitely stand out in a croud.

Of those 3 new cars.. I'd def go for the 500 over either the ford or the VW tbh.

Could someone tell me where I could find a Fiat dealer, I stay in Goodwood, Cape town. I have been searching for one...but no luck
