Please help with a download speed test.

Please help!

Try downloading this file and please tell me what kind of speed you get.

It is a 40MB file of random junk data. You don't need to download the whole thing, if it's slow just cancel when you get to a stable speed let me know roughly what that was.

I have 100/100 fiber and appear to be experiencing slow international downloads (although my speedtest.net results are fine). Also uploading the file was no problem at all.


Please share:

The approximate speed in kilobytes/megabytes per second
Your ISP
Your Fiber package (100/100, 50/50 etc.)

I thought so too, but then I asked someone in the USA to try the same thing and it took them 2.1 seconds to download that entire file.

It's possible the server doesnt have much access to international capacity but national/local only. This is often the case .
