I don't want anymore tech calls, customer support ignorance or even reassurances.

I am just venting.

Internet is my bread and butter, It is the only way I can communicate efficiently with my clients and at this point, I have to make stupid excuses for work not delivered via email etc. (bigger files take too damn long, I have to play delivery boy half the time!)

R1000 bucks may be nothing to you, but for some of us it is a lifeline!
I didn't take the R1000 option because I had surplus cash every month, I took it because it appeared to be great value for money and a good investment for my home business. - It has crippled me!

Slow, unreliable and consistently frustrating!

Edit: as clicked 'submit new thread', I got disconnected again.. hahahaha

In essence you are taking money I do not have every month and isolating me from my suppliers and my customers - my only source of income!

Don't bother PM'ing me, I'll be pasting your message here anyway.

I'm not even angry.. I'm exhausted, frustrated and stressed!

You guys have been 'working on a solution' for months now, is it really a technical issue or are you just stringing us along because you think we are dumb sheep?

By the way.. I have done everything your techies requested. Arial, full signal, PPP settings, bla bla bla WTF OMG PwndbyNeotel.

I get a small boost of speed for and hour or two and then climb back into the PHAILBOAT! - The problem aint on my machine!

As for playing a relaxing online MMPORG at the end of the day... If I had a temper I would have thrown my EVDO phone out the window!

Don't flame me people.. this dang situation has me so emo I'm contemplating dressing in black and listening to goth music! (Usually I listen to cheesy techno all day!)

Going back to 3G is an option but I would still be tied in a contract to neotel. I simply cannot afford both!

Anyhoo...

/rant over.

I think I feel a bit better now.

dam ok i know how you feel.... when you need internet to survive.... like me I am managing an online store... tested there services for a couple hours and saw how stupid it was we thought not to use there services till they jack it up that is for sure

Sorry about ure frustrations man. Hope your problem gets resolved ASAP

Damn.....is going to neotel Really that bad, ive been hearing more and more about this and if some rep doesn't come on here and atleast try to help you out somehow, i'm boycotting them and telling everyone they are just another iBurst.

Send a PM to the Neotel rep, keep us updated - I'm sure he'll help you get sorted for once and for all or at least tell you WTF is going on!

*Notes response...continues venting*

The worst part is, i bought the damn aerial and it made no difference... I had to spend money on my credit card... blehhh

It's frustrating, South Africans don't need another pineapple rape session! We already struggle to pay our houses and cars!

I am one of those buffoons that tell people, don't worry, it will be ok, stay in South Africa, don't move to Auzzie etc.

Here we sit, living in middle class security compounds we call 'estates' or behind burglar bars and high walls in the most beautiful country in the world, paying frikkin levies for added security, struggling to pay our bonds..... and we get done in by another opportunistic Vulture who sees us as hapless fish in a barrel!

mm..

I don't even want a Neotel response!

The reps that post here are just employees..can't hold them responsible for whatever the hell is going on at the top! I have spoken all my talk time out to every manager, rep, tech and fubar I could find.

I don't wanna chat no more!

I think I shall keep paying the R1000 and start mailing my griefs to every form of public media I can find until I either have a proper connection from Neotel or I have my complaints on frikkin TV.. it makes sense. I buy and sell media for a living so I might as well use what I have to make a difference.

If this stuff is sorted out, I will happily apologize.

I am Proud of my country, and I can't wait to brag at my Auzzie buddies about my speedy internetz (lulwut? u noob!)

Till then I'll be using up my wifes 500 megs on her 3G card.

Right, emo over. I hereby cheer up and jump back into the battle!

;)

Neotel Organised for a Tech to come check if a aerial would make a difference at my place today,

The RSSID on the phone was 96, and the Aerial didnt make a difference.

What area are you in?

Centurion.. right in the Bright Orange!

When I have speed it's awesome.. I mean really awesome.. better than HSDPA was.

But that is very rare!

They came to my area to check before I took the contract tho, everything was peachy!

I've done all the tech stuff... I've even had separate IT professionals come out and fiddle, genoeg is genoeg!

The problem is squarely with Neotel.

Robindale, Ranburg for me,

I have the same issue, Excellent coverage, was fine for a month and a half, from 5 February , down from 4 bars to 1

And slow speeds, no aerial makes a difference.

Its been 3 weeks now, waiting for 4, thats a whole month were service has been unnaceptable.

I would like to see the solution.

Neotel rep, when you reply, can you maybe tell us what is the reason for JMRHOWES & Anjulfajah's problems... just so we can get a education with regards to their problem

Iam in centurion too it used to have good signal till about 2 weeks ago lol logged it at there tech department that something is up but havent heard from them. I am just glad i did not ditch my telkom line.

I'm in a new area.. no hard lines yet.

I would give my left nut for a Telkom line!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

:D

Well.. one good thing, the phone itself is unbelievable!

I get better clarity than any Vodacom or MTN phone I have ever had...

Anjulfajah,

I can understand your frustration - I am the new rep here and I hope I can assist. Please provide me your details and I will get an engineer to look into it.

However, as you maybe awarefrom this post:
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=159134 we are experiencing network issues in some areas and are trying to resolve the issue(s).

Please forward me your details - as I would like to keep track of the tickets you have logged. I will also escalate to the Ops manager.

Anjulfajah,

I've been lurking the Neotel threads the past week or so when I've been online, which has been quite a lot lately.

Neotel Rep is really trying his hardest to help folks out and he has truly made a valid effort and I have seen him/her take a lot of flak and still coming back with diplomacy trying sort out peoples problems.

I believe if you and every Neotel user make the effort to provide the details to Neotel Rep and award him the basic respect he needs, your problems will soon be in the past.

There are a few issues on Neotel and it's not just on Mybb. So guys, hold fast and work together to sort it out :p

The new rep is great - give him a chance. He'll definately help you out. Hes been quite a help to me already.

NeoConnect Prime Unlimited (or wait, very limited) form GreenstoneHill (side of edenvale),

I am also a new user with Neotel (about 2 weeks now) and I am also very disgusted in the service I have received up to now, I am running daily speed tests on their website to see if any of my support calls made a difference, I hardly get speeds more than 100kb/s, the most I got was around 150kb/s which is half of the promised minimum average rate. The signal seems fine and the voice calls works fine but the the bladdie internet is horrible....

I feel the same way as Anjulfajah, more frustrated than anything else!!!

I am definately cancelling with them if not resolved before the end of this month....
