Been with Home-Connect for a month 20/20 FibreTrend Activate - R698.00. My speed is stable and as advertised.
Ping: 5ms
Download: 19.45Mbps
Upload: 19.24Mbps

Note : they've combined their sadv pricing and have done away with suburbia vs complexes, so if you were on suburbia you can shift over to the new pricing and save some money

on a 20/2 at R648 through Frogfoot, for the last month, knock on wood, so far so good

switching ISP and was supposed to migrate today (Sunday 1st) to Home-connect- but of course they were not able to do it. Chat line reply was: "all IT support staff left for the day". I gave them a month in advance to schedule it in their calendar. I followed up with 2 more email reminders, I received a phone call 2 days earlier from a technician confirming that the migration will happen today (Sunday)...- its just plain bad and very unprofessional that they have no system in place to migrate new customers on a Sunday...and i am still waiting for the new login details for my router. We are talking about a company that has been around for years and they are clearly incompetent in some areas. Hopefully someone at Home connect will actually do the work necessary within their non-functioning structure to change what needs to change in order to deliver what is expected of them. So, for now- big thumb down!!

Still have pathetic speeds to Real Debrid. Spoke to Lynthis. Sounded promising but gone about a week now without a solution.}fed up now. Planning to leave.

Are you streaming or downloading from Real Debrid?

Streaming issues with RD. RD provided 10 GB files to download to test speeds to their site. With HC on a 25 Meg line, I get no more than 250Kb/s. This makes streaming useless. Compared this with other networks and a massive difference.

Well Home- Connect

My love hate relationship

1. Sales (Vusi) Brilliant
2. Support? What support?
2.1 Normal call support dont know what they doing, just ask to be transferred to a senior support agent and your issue will be resolved
2.2 Online support is a joke all they do is take a message to call back that takes hours, they shoudl just change it to message server
3. Speed Good not many issues, Steam download 12 MBs that i am very happy with on a 100mb line
4. Speed test 98/100mb as per account
5. Operations Department need to find them self sending incorrect routers taking forever to collect there old ones not good always need to chat to the manager to get done
6. Ping (all good EU+- 160 local 5

I found your service good or even excellent until 2 weeks ago when i suddenly notice that i am unable to stream certain sites. :(First i thought its my smart TV or Media box but then realize that it can't be both devices, however i try my iPhone which allow me to stream the sites. I then download Opera with free VPN and it works but very slowly. Still not sure if its the ISP or my devices. Home-Connect is my first fibre ISP since Jan 20, not sure if they block me.
Probable not the place to question you but if you can escalate... :X3:

So they were unable to find any faults on their end even though I was still experiencing issues with RD. Even sent them download speed tests. I have now canceled and they were kind enough to waiver the penalty fees. So I have until end of April to find another ISP.

All I do is write support ticket after support ticket, they delete it and I write another.. because the problem doesn't go away.
I sit with 10% or more packet loss every day, it doesn't matter what time of day.
So I rate them as pathetic.
Will change when I pass their "claw back" fine print.

I am also experiencing heavy packet loss..Sometimes up to 40 %. It happens from 17:00 -> 22:00 in the evenings. They are doing nothing about my issue and telling me that nothing is wrong their side. This is on the MetroFibre network.

Then I guess its better to use LTE then, cheaper and then I can at least understand instability.
