Please recommend a vacuum cleaner

Point me in the right direction here gents:

Looking for a stick vacuum, bagless, washable filter, and must be strong and sturdy, not those weak plastic ones.
Wired or cordless is fine. But if cordless, batteries must be easily exchanged.

Guys this is my thread. No arguing please. I'm just kidding, you guys can argue to your hearts content.

And the winner is the Karcher WD3. Will buy over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who chimed in, really appreciate the advice!

It's a good choice considering the price and the fact that the consumables are readily available.

Have a karcher wd3. Use the blow function quote a bit. The wet suction confuses me, the bag gets wet and existing dust turns to muck? Also have a Kirby, bulletproof machine, just glad I didn't have to buy it.
From the manual:

I had to dig for that too. Only use the cartridge for wet/dry and remove the bag.

Rainbow.......it is expensive but a wonderful machine with a HEPA filter
or a DYSON

I just bought a Genesis clean master, really impressed. Also bought a Karcher SC2 steam cleaner, where has this product been my whole life! I cleaned like a demon the first day, walls, cupboards, carpet stains. Hell if the dog was slower I would have steam cleaned her too!

I am in the market for one of these, my Bosch just packed up and I can’t afford the Dyson’s or rather don’t want to spend that mouth. How is the suction on the unit? I tend to get a lot of fine dust.

Get Miele (non-wireless). Not that much more and definitely better quality overall.

LOL, why so judgerag?

this thing suits my needs and the price was reasonable comparing to others. also most of the house is tile and the broom attachment is tops. Happy wife....

the equivalent dyson is R15K this thing is called a dyson killer

had a verimark (verikak) handheld before this and it packed up in no time, you get what you pay for mos. it wasnt even the motor at 1st, the build quality was just poor. Wires came loose and what not.

This thing is pretty solid feeling

some reviews

most of my house is tiled and the broom attachment on low works perfectly

in auto mode it adjusts the power to a higher setting automatically when you move from tile to carpet and then back to low when you move off the carpet back to the tile.

power is good, on full speed you get about 10 mins as per the specs but we haven't used it on full for that long to test. Low/auto is doing the job thus far

the mop attachment is also pretty decent. got marks out of the tile easy peasy

when using the small attachments that do not have the sensor prongs (narrow nozzle and brush), my wife used those on high and they got the job done.
