Why would one run this add-on? Isn't the built-in plex scans good enough to detect file system changes? Mine reacts pretty quickly (within a minute or so).

With cloud mounted remotes plex doesn't detect changes on that so you either have to trigger a full library scan or you media doesn't get updated.

With Autoscan apps it trigers specific scan locations. So no need to scan the whole library. It only scans specific folders where the new content was added. This help reduce api calls to cloud remotes.

I was about to press terminate on my ze plex server that has been running on Oracle for like a year.
And you wouldn't even have known it was just the port, would have had to redo everything and it was just going to work again.

Any of you Plex users considering alternatives? Emby/Jellyfin?

You always end up going back to Plex. I mostly use Jellyfin because the devices I use to watch on works well but not everyone I share my plex with can, so I need to run a Plex server also. Emby is a big no for me unless you have Premier. Emby is even more restricted on free vs Plex.

Guys, Can anyone Direct me here to Someone that might be willing to share his Libraries with me. I am done struggling with Eskom Screwing up my Plex Server's HDD's. 168TB's of Media, And I am just so over spending hours upon hours each week fixing Disk Errors to maintain this. If you can help a brother out, my Username on Plex is bull0592
Have a look on reddit. There's a plexshares sub.
I found a person from the states that shared he's plex with me. He had quite the library all nicely categorized, 4k, hd, atmos, ppv events.

One of he's conditions was no transcoding though.

Only poop was that my 30 Meg line wasn't really up to the task, so I asked him to remove me from he's share.

Yeah. No transcoding means a 100Mbps line is required for any remux/atmos/hdr 4K content usually.

Really? I tested my onedrive rclone mount and it picks up additions within 10 seconds of the copy finishing.

Yeah I run plex and jellyfin.. Most people/TVs in my household use plex but I use jellyfin on my pc (for 1.5x playback speed) and so does a mate that I share my lib with as plex on android has the 1 min limitation.

I never had luck with US/CA based plex shares, always buffered so just used them to download from.
UK ones are nice, there is even a Joburg based on on reddit /plexsubs somwhere.

3 Plex servers.
1 at home, 1 on Oracle Cloud south africa and 1 on Oracle Cloud Amsterdam (will be decommissioned soon).
Also have 2 Jellyfin servers.

I don't download anything but have access to an unlimited google drive.

Sharing it with friends and family.

plex_debrid sounds interesting , I don't really need it but sounds like a fun project for this weekend.....

You can change the default from 1TB to 5TB in the admin panel.

In the admin panel click on Sharepoint on the left > New tab will open > settings > Scrol down and look for Onedrive storage limit and make it 5TB.

Default storage limit
Enter a value of at least 1. For 1 TB of storage, enter 1024. If you have a subscription that provides more than 1 TB of storage, you can enter a value up to 5120 (5 TB).
Does it suppose to reflect immediately?
I increased my storage and it's still showing only 1TB

Yes but if you created sub accounts already you need to increase those manually.

Mine took a while.. It might have only moved to 5tb when I reached the 1TB threshold.

Hi Cavedog

Wanted to ask is it possible with an already created 365 dev account to link it to a domain after creation or would you have to do it at the beginning
