Plugg ISP.

I have no idea, to be honest. Thing is, I'm looking for an ISP that provides an uncapped service that works almost like prepaid. I'm a student, so I'm not guaranteed to be able to pay for uncapped each month, so I want to be able to pay for it, then decide whether I want it again the next month. Mweb's offering seems the best, but with the 1 month notice thing I have a problem, as I might be unable to pay it one month and get cut off or blacklisted or whatever.

I mainly want to use my account for downlaoding, like Steam etc.

Edit: Posted this in the wrong forum by accident.

Yes PLUGG is IS. It was their gaming sector of ADSL if i recall.

First time I've heard of them. Are they any good with their uncapped offerings?

They quite good their uncapped accounts are the I.S standard accounts whats nice about them is they are a part of internet solutions so they quite clued up about their accounts and they also are able to verify information with technical advisors within I.S quite quickly .I have been using their 4meg uncapped since june 2010 and havent regretted the move.

I now have a Plugg Account (goodbye Mweb), will feedback after some testing this weekend.

Their customer service sucks !
I wrote them an e-mail on 3 June and still no reply.
Based on this I'm staying far far away from them :(

I have nothing but good news about plugg.

My torrents flew the entire weekend (Regardless of time) at 420kb/s), Youtube streaming was the best I have EVER seen it, and my pings on Eve Online and HoN were the lowest I have ever had.

So far, I am MIGHTILY impressed with pluggs speeds and latency...the real test is downloading this week, so i can have a look at the graph for any signs of hectic shaping. Having come from MWEB (spit), I am used to 20kb/s during the day on torrents....will report back.

I take it you are on 4mb uncapped...? What are the prices like..?

Yip - prices linked by Pada.

Well, we'll know in 10 days. I used to average 60Gb a month (plus minus, some times 100gb, including uploads). I'll pop a few blu rays in the list and see what happens for your benefit pada :)

All in the name of research!

But I was VERY impressed with my HoN ping, its the first time I have EVER had a sub 200 ping on a euro game, and it then sat around 207 or 210 to HoN.

Update: I havent hit the "cap" yet, and torrents have cruised at full speed (4mb line speed) the entire day. Not the 20kb/s CRAP that mweb offers.

So far, PLUGG is a bazillion times better than Mweb on torrents, and youtube is click, watch. no buffering.

Without "jinxing" you :p How much have you downloaded so far...?

Luxe downloaded+uploaded less than 15GB in total - so we can't rule out the rolling window shaping effect yet...
