Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

So way back in January you said that you guys were looking at the prices. Now it's almost April. Are you going to stop looking and adjust the prices one day? Or is that hoping for too much?

I had a chat to the product managers today and they confirmed that they are busy with Plugg pricing now that they have made adjustments to IS' reseller pricing.

The last words that I heard after walking out and locking the door, something to the effect "promise by tomorrow, just let us out, you can't do this to us; No internet connectivity in the room"..... or something like that.

I'll follow up in the morning again.

Will you guys be bringing out business products

Just to follow up; Pricing adjustments as well as additional packages will go live on April the 2nd. I will provide more details in the next couple of days.

Not at this stage.

Sneaky, so it will only be effective for May. Meh.

Chances are good that it might go live before end of this month, but I'll know for certain on Friday.

Doesn't help if it's after your debit order (or credit card (can't remember which)) run ...

My PluGG connection is pretty much unusable at the moment. The PluGG website states that everything is running as intended, but I'm getting this on a 4Mb Uncapped ADSL account:

Reminds me of the days of dial-up...

Just wanna say that Im really happy with Plugg. Im downloading quite a bit at this stage, but hopefully wont go on for too long.

I have to commend them on the excellent latency Im getting to EU. A lot of my friends (if not most) are over 200ms. A very select few might be around 180ms, but when I tell them that Im running 160ms they cant believe it!

In my opinion it really improves the experience of the using the internet coz everything is so snappy, and playing games online is an absolute pleasure.

Well done guys! :)

I see that the website is currently being updated with new uncapped packages and pricing. The PluGG Product Managers have also added lite uncapped options which will only allow a single connection with a higher contention ratio (top 40% of users during business hours) than normal uncapped. The idea behind the lite packages; not for those trying to download the different versions of the Internet each month.

As I have mentioned before on this forum, when it comes to PluGG pricing, Internet Solutions walks a very fine line to ensure that they do not compete against their own resellers (customers).

I see new products, but not new pricing. Which is unfortunate. I understand that PLuGG cannot compete with its own customers, but a 2mbps line (R299) + uncapped account (R339) is R638 with PLuGG. Compare that to Afrihost (R497), Axxess (R499), Cybersmart (R445), WebAfrica (R489) or Mweb (R449) and I'd expect something more along the lines of R529 or whatever. Still more expensive, but more in line with the market. At R638 PLuGG is almost R200pm more expensive than its cheapest competitor. Or is everything not updated yet?

Update: I'd like to also throw Telkom in there, you're even R30 more expensive than Telkom (R607.37). None of your prices decreased. Literally all you did was add new products.

No reduction for 10 Mbps uncapped. That sucks!

I see there is 8 Mbps now and since my line syncs at that I'll move to that. A saving of sorts I guess.
