Apologies (I am slightly out of the loop today since am busy moving house and still catching up on emails/txt messages) the outage of earlier is only partly resolved and we waiting on our upstream. No eta at this stage.

I am in need of a new ISP. I need fast internet during the day and evenings and I download after 10pm till 6am.

This a good account?

Hi Janitor , hope the move is going well. Just a quick question and apologies if its been answered before, do you consider public holidays to be the same as weekends? Another words is it off peak?

Howdy!

It really depends on how busy the network is and how much capacity is available on that public holiday. The system looks at each public holiday and then adjust the levels as required. If we see that we have plenty available we would override and open the flood gates a bit.

Thanks for the reply, however what im trying to ascertain, is that if i download over the course of the day during a public holiday. Will it effect my shaping as if it was off peak and not as if i was downloading during peak hours thus shaping my connection.

Today would have counted a normal day aka peak.

Rock solid performance since leaving Afrihost beginning of Nov, even now during all these under sea cable breaks - baring 1 or 2 international dips of a few hours each.

@janitor - is there something wrong with the "forgot password" functionality on the www.plugg.co.za sign-in page?

For some reason, site wont accept my password, but doesn't send me the promised 'reset' email when I hit "forgot" button.

I can login to the ADSL account via router and the WebMail component without any problems - weird!

Possibly a stupid question but you're not using your router details to try and log into the site? There are two separate login details.

Howdy,

I've logged it with the company looking after the functionality of the site to sort it out.

Eish - they need a serious kick under the backside - your website is way behind your competitors!

On a brighter note, your call centre people are pretty jacked up - they sorted me out chop chop this morning.

Let me restate what I said above "there is something wrong with the "forgot password" functionality on your website"

Oh, and another thing, your site does not play nicely with lastpass (yours is one of the few that does not play nicely - the other one is vodacom's site - hope you're not using the same people as them to look after your website)
