Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Sh***y speeds during office hours once again.

I get that downloads are shaped during the day, I'm 100% for that actually, but when HTTP is dead slow that's another story...
 
@janitor - any words of wisdom for us - we're dying here...

Help me to help you by supplying as much information as possible. That is really the only way I can start to look into things, especially when there are no known faults open at the moment on the network.

So, how about PM me your current username, that why I can at least look into the account and see whether it's currently shaped or not.

PS: Must apologise, I never got around to getting those D3 IP addresses or ping results :o
 
Hi Janitor, Its been 6 days and nothing yet from support. I logged a request on the 30th, an agent responded with a tracert request which was obliged within minutes and it has been 6 days, I have followed up since but to no avail.

I am on a 4Mbps uncapped and all my Google services including Skype are offline - Gmail, G+, Hangouts are all unusable.

Please help :(

Forward me the details that you provided to said support engineer together with the ticket number (CAS) so that I can have a look and follow up

It turns out I'm being shaped. I'm on two stars at the moment. ~50GB used this month on 4Mbit uncapped. I am a bit surprised that EVERYTHING gets shaped, not just P2P.

50gb on a 4mbps shouldn't get you 2 stars or am i missing something, maybe that's whats happening to me :confused:

Clears things up some, I assumed certain business critical functions were exempt from shaping, in my case mail, browsing, Google services.
+1, I'd like to know which, if any, services are exempt from shaping. I was thinking of upgrading my line and moving to a different ISP that still allows full speeds on real time services (HTTP, streaming) when shaped in the near future after I've been moved to the MSANs so this is pretty important to me.

Edit: Although I probably know the answer to that question, looking quality of the things I'm streaming at the moment :(

I joined Plugg at the start of this month because i was happy with my test account stats but now I seem to be having huge problems streaming youtube videos.
There is a problem with your website so i cant even get on there to see if there is a problem with my account.

There is not a general issue regarding Youtube, however, just a few minutes ago we lost some IPCs. We are in the process of liaising with Telkom to find out what is happening.

Yeah my net died so maybe it was just the start of that causing the problems.

Ah ha! That explains it. My internet is down too.

Except that the article stars that user accounts started coming up after 16h00. It's 16h06 and I'm still down
