The problem is not yet resolved, there are different areas in the country still affected.

Things seems to be returning to normal although we have no root cause yet from Telkom as to what happened. If you are still having issues connecting please log it with support @ plugg (email or phone) so that they can attend to it.

As for the Plugg Website, the dev guys are still sorting that out. Failure in the VM environment.

Sorry guys, bad timing - esp Bar Rat - trust me, this is the best place to be. Follow the rules and download at night (p2p NNTP) and whatever else after 5pm and leave your connection alone 8am to 5pm and it will be bliss. Even times I am at home during the day all it is is like a 2mb line on a 4mb.
 
My experience have not been as positive. I stick to the rules and yet I have very little download capacity over the weekend.

Hi straatkat

Have you tested with another account during those times to rule out telkom issue? I always get line speed mon-fri 5pm-8am and all weekend when I want something during the day, otherwise I still schedule downloads 1am-6am even on weekends. I try not download between 8am-1pm on sat as that is considered a work day.
 
I was not aware that Saturday is also workday as the guidance indicate weekend is off peak. Nothing wrong with Telkom and the browsing seems ok, NNTP speed is limited to 170kbps on a 4mbps line atm for me at least.

I still get line speed on NNTP (SABnzbd) during sat work day (420kB), or pretty much anytime actually using 20 connections, I just don't download unless I really want it now so that it doesn't affect my star rating.

I'm actually rather pissed off with your accounts department. I applied for my pugg account on the 31st of last month and then sent through my documents on the 1st of this month just to confirm my banking details.
When i got the confirmation that the account had been activated i checked my details on your site and it said that everything was paid up in full. So i assumed that the debit order had gone through when the details were confirmed.

On Saturday(8th) i got an sms saying that R429 was returned from Plugg. I then went and got a bank statement and found that on 8th you guys tried to take the debit order for this months payment. I then checked my account on the plugg site and it still said that the amount has been paid. I thought it was just an error so i ignored it.

Tonight my plugg account has been frozen because the debit order that i assumed would come off on the 1st like the site said actually came off on the 8th when there was no money in my account.
Now my account says its unpaid.

Please explain to me how my account can say paid in full and it hasnt really been paid. Now i sit with the problem of no money to pay my account and i have about 500mb of a free account to use for the rest of the month.

Yes i am also at fault for not confirming everything properly but you really need to look at you system and how it notifies customers that their account isnt paid. I have yet to receive any feedback that my account hasnt been paid and if it wasnt for the sms from the bank i would never have known.

Your account is not currently flagged to be shaped and sitting on four stars.

I am however still busy looking into the "NNTP Shaping" problem that you are experiencing.

If i pay with a credit card now will i get it activated tonight?

Edit : NVM I see there is no feature that i can pay with credit card. Cant say i have ever seen such a poor accounts department and system.

I've never dealt with a human before when I signed up, or any other time either, all on the site with credit card and was pretty much instant as far as I remember.

I have set up a debit order and from what I can see I will have to set up a whole new payment option to pay with credit card. Ill speak to the accounts department today and work something out.
