I did thanks & I responded.

I am not seeing any authentication coming in from your number. I did however found the following saix notifications that would be relevant to you based on your previous authentication and port information.

Timmie,

We also resell Internet Solutions ADSL accounts. Our prices are pretty much on par with Plugg, and I happen to have an account you can test if you like? PM me if you want it.

Our prices are here: http://www.iteology.co.za/isp/adsl/

Wow.. responding to a posting from 07-11-2012 11:46 AM ..

Interesting :-)

Thanks janitor..

Those reports seem accurate as the times nearly correspond with the time my connection dropped.

Thanks for the help!

Hi guys, I'm not understanding something here, seriously. From what I'm told by support, the star rating is only in action during work hours and at night and weekends its supposed to be open... that is NOT what is happening. This week we've actually been using other ISP's to lessen the burden on our plugg account as we've been stuck at 2 silly stars for ages (weeks) with having only downloaded 95gigs (used to be able to do over 180gigs without issues for many months) and mostly at night and so yesterday we managed to get up to 3 stars (yay) but then when we switched back to Plugg to carry on any surfing and downloading lastnight (Friday early morning and Saturday morning) we now see we back at 2 stars?
Yes I've already called support and they say they looking into it blah blah and promising phone calls back (have yet to ever have one back but lets see with this latest one) but seriously, this star rating is not working the way support is saying, we still getting rated over the evenings and it doesn't matter if you use another ISP during the day, just no point.

I'm looking else where, Plugg seems congested.

I'm just beginning to not believe in any ping rate tests to SA ISP servers. I'm in the finance industry and know what can be played with. I just don't understand, we a developing nation, we should be climbing in bandwidth as we lagging the US and EU in growth not having to cut down in bandwidth usage.
South America has less cables than us yet when I was there I was getting 20meg/s download for R100 a month uncapped.
Tired of this rubbish in how SA consumers are squeezed and spoken to like we don't know anything.

Yes I'm finished my rant.

+1 - our speeds are pathetic compared to almost anywhere in the world - and they have the cheek (not plugg specifically, all ISPs) to sell it to us as "world class"

You mean international cables? Yeah that's not our problem, the issue is local and telkoms copper network.

Yes I remember that post but it still doesn't work, Friday evening (just checked, downloads were mainly Saturday morning) is a weekend, that is off-peak, why then were we downgraded on a weekend when it says there "off-peak"? Still doesn't add up. Sorry Plugg but you were great when I first signed up but now, nope. Sad thing is, there really is no where else to go... so... who knows what the heck to do. Sit I guess. Oh I love SA biz.

Oh and that support guy never called back at 1pm... not surprised though.
