This is what I am thinking - I can get 6 meg on my line and it appears that it may be worth it - 6 meg at home, 2 meg at work (not that I need the 2 meg at work) and 2 meg "wasted" but still...only R70 more for an extra 2 meg at home...

Where is janitor when you need him?

I feel strangely loyal towards plugg...

He must still be on holiday. I think this thread can be renamed to Plugg & Connection uncapped feedback now :D

Also feel loyal towards plugg as they have treated me well, but the cost difference is too much to ignore, so I've made up my mind and am going to take the plunge. My 4mb (connection & plugg) will cancel at month end, and will go over to 10mb account @ R499 and see how it goes. Also because I don't use more than one connection, I should stay on 5 stars (as long as cavedog keeps up the good work :)).

Still cheaper than gold.

imagine how confused okes must be when reading this thread with all the connection info lol

but at the same time I dont wanna create a connection thread... will attract too many download trolls

Someone using connection 4mbps, how much data on average per day (mostly streaming after hours and weekends) can one download more or less to maintain a 5 star rating?

If I was you I would try out connection like I am doing. You still have time (up to the 25th) to click that cancel button. You can even sign up with connection now if you want coz you only pay prorata.

Update on my 10mb R499 account on 4mb line: I played netflix from 8am-11pm sat and sun and my rating dropped from 5 to 3. Now to see how long it takes to recover when I resume normal activities :)

Welcome back.

For 70 rand more, Connection gives me a 10 meg connection, and I still get the twin connection benefit that i'm after.
I've signed up with them and asked for my plugg to be cancelled from the end of this month.

Bit of a no brainer to be honest

I've enjoyed being with plugg but simply cannot ignore the price / benefit differential any longer.

Thanks for the great service from you over the last 9 months.

nah Im just joking man. I'm about to cancel as well and have also signed up with 10mb.

Plugg also served me well, but time to move on.

edit : unfortunately I had to let my buddies and family know about this as well... :erm: So in essence Im only one person, but count for about 12. Dunno who those 12 will tell.... ouch
