Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Seems like getting back to their customers ain't a priority. Waiting 2 days for feedback from emails.

Hopefully I can find a better ISP soon. But I will do some proper research first this time.

Could you please assist me?

I noticed on Wednesday night when I was playing games that I was getting some poor performance. The game was sticking a bit, wihch indicated some sort of loss of connectivity. The ping to EU was solid all the meanwhile. I thought maybe it was the server.

Last night I had the same thing. The DC icon would periodically pop up, indicating connectivity issues. I tried various servers, same issue. I then switched to Afrihost and the while their ping is about 30ms more to EU, my sticky problem went away.

The friend I was playing with, is the guy that I share my account with. he was complaining about his game sticking, then it dawned on me he is using the same account I was and having the same issue! I live in Sea Point and he lives in Table View, about 20km from each other.





Could you provide some assistance please? :)

Been with plugg for 8 days, cancelled today. Nothing worse then being told you will be contacted and then waiting for days. I cannot wait for April to start.

I have severe lag spikes to EU on TOR as well, it's terrible.

Would it be possible to show some traceroutes when you experience these "lag spikes" so that we have something to work with.

Ive also noticed that after 8pm the service becomes useless. Before 8pm on my 4mb uncapped service I get speedtests of around 7mbps down, while this is great I'd prefer it if it was a constant 4mb and not 512k after 8pm.

Nope, it doesnt matter any more. As I said, I just need to get through this month and then I can try another ISP.

Whether you moving to a new ISP or not, I still would like the opportunity to look where Plugg Support failed the process in order to fix it. All the correct systems and procedures are in place so there are no excuse for that department to not respond to queries.

How's it gents,
Anyone in here using their plugg account for streaming purposes and was flagged for throttle?? If yes what was usage??
 
I was flagged at around 10Gb a day, but most of that traffic happens from 8am-5pm.
Not enough for my needs, so I cancelled.
 
feedback : there must have been some kind of routing issue in the UK. Friday night when we played we had no issues at all. The jitter was all gone.

case closed.
