Hi Guys

Whats the best card machine out there for a small business?

I do alot of sales at expos & I've noticed that at most expos, you have to insist on cash/internet banking on the spot (Not always convenient) - which often means lost sales as customers prefer to swipe.

Whats the best most cost effective card machine I can use for those random sales?

Try Ikhokha.

iKhokha is nice, but you need a iPhone, and 2.75% ex. VAT commission is steep. Plus you pay a fee each time you bank your transactions.

Not exactly mobile card reader, but Get Snapscan is awesome payment method to have

I've got Snapscan, and customer take-up is way down lately. Nothing wrong with the service, and I'll keep it as an option, but I've done maybe 3 transactions on it the last 6 months. Lost probably 20-30 sales due to no card machine.

You don't have to have an iPhone, I use a Samsung Pocket Plus without issues. The only costs are R2 per day you use it 2.75% of sale and they EFT to your account after 24 hours

Nedbank's Pocket POS is fantastic and super reliable. I have used it every day for the last 18 months and never had a moment's trouble

I saw snap scan being advertised on tv lastweek...I still dont understand how it works hey
