Can't log in to the SA server. Also hearing that some data center was hit by this lightning.

Lol yikes! I had the same problem but just switched to the French server, since that's where we're being redirected anyway.

I tried it quickly and its pretty good!
Loving the game so far, got to act 2 yesterday. My main gripes atm are the lack of meaningful loot drops and not being able to dodge through regular enemy hitboxes since they can surround you and you basically just need to accept the death at that point.

Crafting Currency > Gear drops, and currency drop all the time.
Use it to make your gear better don't hord em for endgame.
Also pay vendors a visit. Got some really good pieces off them already.
Yeah that is a pain, My Sorc had to add Frost Nova just for that crap alone.
My only gripe is everything re-spawning when you die, but I rather have that than durability or XP penalty on death from other ARPG's.
This. I do think they might need to buff currency a bit but crafting and vendors seem to play an important role in gearing up

That would exclude d4 players on bnet app, which will be a lot im guessing
PoE2 has its own launcher on PC as well though.

POE2 is on Epic an has its own launcher as well.
Activeplayer claims D4 currently has 185 184 daily players across all platforms.
We Know POE2 hits 1 mill cap the moment you start getting que's and that happens at peak times.
Still gonna be interesting to see how the numbers go over time. I can see casuals dropping out of POE soon so there is that
But it doesn't matter how you spin it, with that high count in POE, Blizz will need to start paying attention to D4 complaints instead of focusing on Immortal else they going to lose players big time.
Yes I have a feeling the difficulty is going to cause a decent amount of casual drop, but D4 is exactly for that type of player. I was really disappointed with Vessal of Hatred, they had the game balance perfect in the season prior and it all good borked with the expansions release.
It's been a very long time since I bought a game and pretty much hated it, and that happened with D4 VoH expansion. I've had more fun washing the dishes than playing that game, don't think I'll ever try it out again

Wont say I hated it, for me its just there is nothing to do once you finish the story (Where I was cheated cause no Mephisto fight)
Loot Piñata (uber boss) drops no loot.
Pit XP grind is sooo boring. I literally fell asleep in one.
Helltide, Nightmare and Horde mode is even worse.
If I wanted a gambling game, Online Poker would be way more fun than trying to triple crit on Masterwork.
And dont get me started on the season event. Following an entrance portal for minutes in order to do a quick run for a crappy XP potion. Yeah no, End Game does not exist in D4.
