Pokemon Go!

Apart from the bit of coins/stardust you can collect every 21 hours what other benefit is there to placing a Pokemon in a gym?

the stradust and coins is actually quite a big deal.

I have gotten into a nice rythim. we have an alarm set for every time we can claim.
we went on a mission and both had more than 10 gyms.
we both went down to 9 gyms this morning, so hopefully we can get one more gym before we can claim.

with claiming 100 coins every 21 hours, you get fun things. 2 incubators every 63 hours. with a normal work week, it takes about 5 days to hatch 9 5km days.
the stardust gain is MASSIVE. all my top 12 pokemon at maxed out and I still have loads of stardust. (yes dragonite and snorlax too....)


the gym mission is definately worth it. more coins mean more incubators, emergency balls, and storage eventually.
more stardust means power up high level pokemon.
 
My biggest irritation ATM is fighting gyms and then spawning 1km away and the you have a 10 min ban. FFS what a waste of time, to just walk away without putting a poke on the gym.
 
i caught a Shellder this morning in greenside, i have caught 99 different pokemon so far!

anyone looking for a Magnemite, seems moyo restaurant at zoo lake is spawn for them.
 
we have not officially received a region exclusive yet.

Current theories are:
1) Ditio will be region exclusive to Africa and South America
2) We will get one of the other region exclusives, they will either lump us in wiht Austrailia and give us Khengiskhan or they will lump us in wiht Europe and give us Mr. Mime
3) We will get a region exclusive in gen 2.

my opinion is option 3 is most likely.
I doubt dito will be region exclusive, I believe it is a easter egg we have not yet found.
And while option two makes the most sense, it allows Niantic to give Tauros to south America (missed opportunity on Tangela there if you ask me....) and it will mean they give Africa Mr. Mime (missed opportunity on Onix or Rhyhorn, think of the Rhino conservation fund using that to gain funds....) I dont think Niantic will take the easy way out here.
 
This morning I noticed that the "battery saver" option (dark screen with logo) pops on when it shouldn't. Switched it off.

So apparently I have missed catching a Lapras sometime this morning.

Except the only Lapras I have seen have been in gyms a few days ago :wtf:

Gym Pokemon now show up in your Pokedex as seen, it was a server side change yesterday or the day before.
 
So does this mean this guy is a cheater
