Spent a good few hours on Friday night and Saturday morning trying to get the game working on my rooted phone to no avail. Decided to throw in the towel and give up on PoGO (Xposed Framework is more valuable to me).

I didn't realise until this weekend how much of time I've actually been spending on this game, it's like a drug :wtf:

new update is out.

I can confirm, if the player in the gym is a higher level then you are the CP of the pokemon will be ajusted down. (I am level 28 I am going to struggle finding players lower than me with so few botters around now....)

I can also say that being able to use 6 pokemon means that you can potentailly set up your attacking team to get 1000 prestiege per pokemon in the gym(by using something that is half of what is in the slot you are targeting)

I took a level 3 gym up by almost 3000 prestiege in about a minute jsut now.

so if 2 people take on a level 6 gym, and set up 6 pokemon to mow through the opposition, that is 12 000 prestiege in a single fight.
so 2 people can take a level 7 gym to level 9 and both of them can add pokemon and have it almost half way to level 10 in a matter of 10 minutes.
this process used to take 30 mins for 2 people. trust me I have been doing just that for weeks

Just wondering how long the update will take to come to SA since it has officially launched.

  • Catch Bonus: Trainers can earn a catch bonus for a Pokémon type as they catch more of a specific type.
  • Updated Gym Training: Trainers can now bring six Pokémon to battle at friendly Gyms. The CP of the Pokémon you are battling may be temporarily adjusted lower for your training session.
  • Egg & Incubator Screens: These will periodically update the distance walked without the Trainer needing to close and reopen the screen.
  • Fixed several audio issues.
  • Decreased the evolution animation time.

I don't think trainer level has anything to do with it, I think it's just the CP that matters.

no. definately trainer level.

I am level 28.
the guy in the bottom of the gym is 29.

I used a 800cp exceutor, 800 cp snorlax and 695 cp golen (there were 2 arcanines, one was mine)

only the first pokemon, a machamp that was 1900 cP came down. the rest stayed the same because they are all lower(or the same) level as I am.

I even tried going with only cp 10 pokemon and still only the first pokemon in the gym lowered CP.

This is such an odd move by them now, what is the point of high level pokemon now ? What is the point of Stardust at all?

to deter other teams from attacking the friendly gym. the level adjustment is only there for friendly teams.

As far as I know this only applies to your team, that way even people that are just starting can feel like they are contributing and have fun with gym battles, if you battle another team's gym you get the CP it should be.

This morning I walked (1km) to a gym and continuously received "ERROR" when I wanted to battle. Walked about 100m away and back x2...same error. WTF?
