It has been an incredible experience since we launched Pokémon GO a few short months ago in July. We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey. So we would like to say thank you - and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.

So, starting November 23rd at 00:00 UTC and going through November 30th 00:00 UTC, we will double the amount of XP and Stardust you receive when completing in-game actions.

Trainers,

We have made adjustments to the CP (Combat Power) of various Pokémon. Some Pokémon, such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar will have their CP increased. Others will have their CP lowered. These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary.

update is out already, but AFAIK no ditto or shiny have been found in the wild at all yet.

to be honest, I am still hoping Ditto is used as either a region exclusive, or as a tourism driver (like Lapras was used in Japan)

Imagine Dito being used in SA to drive awareness of Rhino poaching.

Rhydon would be more suitable?

P.S. The Silph Road have announced that hunt for Ditto has begun. It's signature move is now available. People are theorizing that it might appear as another Pokemon, until you catch it. Kinda like how it was in the anime:

this CP change is both amazing and messed up.

I have been working for a long time to both have a lot of high CP defenders and attackers. I have also spent a lot of time to have a set of training pokemon.

I evolved Evee, Growlith, Charizard, Golduck, Paras, geodude powered up a tangela and countless catches that fit exactly into my idea range of between 1000 and 1100 CP.

I had them all starred and ready to use when prestieging a friendly gym for max prestiege without having my pokemon faint.

after the server side update last night my entire line up is gone, the only things i can use from my original list of 15 training pokemon is the golduck and an arcanine (dropped in CP...)

everything else is now sitting between 1200 and 1300CP.

my sub 1000 range gained a snorlax, but I have none of my good attackers left.

how do I train against a dragonite now? my fearies, ice types AND electric types all got bumped up.
need to fight a water type, well tough luck you have no grass types left.
at least I had a lot of radicades wiht bite and hyperbeam to fight the loads of Alakazam suddenly in gyms.
but those Rhydon? well I have one water type.


on the plus side, I had 6 1600CP Rhydon that I used to fight Snorlax and they are now all above 2500CP. and Rhyhorn spawn quite often here so cathing a 1200/1300 CP Rhyhorn is not difficult.

Yes, hopefully the eggs stack but I'm sure they will as they will have an increase in purchases on the store.

Seeing the same on reddit, now I have to try catch Rattata's, Spearows etc just in hopes its Ditto

I have not actually done the evolutions.

I have the candy needed for seel and Magicarp, but I am waiting for the wife to catch up on magicarp before doing those.

I also have the candy for my dragonair, but I have not evolved it because I want to take it all the way in one go (that is why it is the buddy)

and I am yet to catch a ditto.
