This is the full release, 50 new pokemon.
the ones you have from gen 3 already were from the Halloween event
they only released like 5 i think: Shuppet and its evolution, duskull and its evolution and sableye

I would hardly call 50 + 5 out of 135 a full release.....
But yes, finally something to do again
 
Hi. So, I got on the PGO wagon way late (finally got a new phone that could play the game) and have only been playing for about a month now. In the Southern Suburbs (CT) and wondering if anyone ever get's together for the legendary raids. I can hit the L1/2 raids alone and come right but the rest I'm nowhere near even standing a chance. Breaks my hear to give up on Ho-Oh... Anyway, I often just cruise around to get to as many of the dense spots as I can. Plumstead, Mzberg, SmsTown, etc., but have yet to see any other players in the lobby. Is there any hope?

Can't speak for CPT, but DUB/PE/PTA and JHB have a thriving community, i would suggest joining one of the whatsapp/facebook groups to find the players. It is going to be way to difficult to attempt to guess or time other player actions.
If you take the group i joined for example, they always do raids when the time has 10/20mins left, where as other groups prefer to start the raid just as it begins
 
Anyone saw the in game video which showed the real time weather effects?
Now that has gotten me hyped for this game once again...finally i should be rid of the scourge chikorita
 
these gen 3 pokemon are not very easily available :( my nearby list only shows gen 1 and 2 most of the time
the ones that i didnt manage to find seems to be common ie when i do see gen 3 they are all that i see.

think i only caught 2 or 3 new gen 3 types so far. put on a lure this morning and not a one appeared.

Jip, they aren't very "common" per say, making lucky egging difficult. Assuming this is part of the incremental strategy of niantic, as to not overload the game with gen 3 and when they release the rest...probably jan/feb, the spawns of the current ones might be bumped up. But i prefer it this way, makes it actually feel like a challenge again. Regretting not going out and catching that zangoose now... regional and seemingly rare

Seriously?

Including the 5 from Halloween I have 26. And that's excluding a Marshtomp which ran away from me.

yeah :( got a few more at the mall yesterday but other than that they not popping up as frequently for me.
i'm coming to sleepy hollow in a few weeks so hopefully my luck improves out there.

got a treeko just now so things already looking up

Would want to know when and where you play as well, because i stay in kempton park, with notoriously bad spawns and i have exactly 20 unique hoen region mons already (without actually going out and hunting them) and various other spawns, mostly gulpin..but gen 3 is gen 3.
 
A bit of a forum poll, what gen 3 mon are you most excited about and which of the currently available one's are you most excited about?

I have my favorites like salamance/sceptile/metagross/gardevoir

But i cannot wait to catch my first ralts and i already have my treecko...so getting there
 
Looks like zigzagoon is the rattata of this gen, they simply everywhere and in numbers too
was in the mall the other day and when i opened up the game i literally had about 5 to 7 of them spawn around me.

i've caught 14 of this new gen now excluding the original halloween 5.
Need another event soon, hopefully niantic will release something for Christmas

I think its more like pidgey and rattata combined, but i think the weather boost is making it much worse. Where I stay, normal types are fairly common, but now I consistenly find clusters of 5-7 zigzagoon...which makes me want to throw up :sick:
 
Groudon is ok to catch.. Mewtwo.. haven’t gotten an EX pass.

FYI Guys you should prep electric (and grass maybe) types for next legendary.
