Pokemon Go!

No, it's not.

If he can get items from the Pokestop next to it like he mentions it's not a soft ban.
There are various levels of soft-bans and hard-bans. Example:
hard-bans:
- Perm ban on account or IP / IP-range (affected pretty much all bot users and some IP ranges of cloud providers)
- Temporary ban with various times (4h, 12 hr and 24 hr so far recorded - anything longer than 24hr is a perm ban)

soft-bans:
- 1-hour ban on all activity (you can bypass this by throwing +20 poke-balls at pokemon and spinning a similar amount of pokestops)
- <15 min ban on some activity (i.e. you can not do gym battles, but can spin pokestop / catch pokemon)

Bots "fixed" the soft-bans by getting the closest forts (= pokestops) and then spinning them.

Nah it happens.
You are straight up cheating and deserved it.

My definition of cheating and yours differ: For me cheating is acting unfairly to gain an advantage. Since I never used any of the Pokemon/the account to battle gyms nor traded them I fail to see that I gained an advantage (other than knowing more how the APIs wor :whistle: ). Contrary to that, I have made a good 20 feature suggestions to Niantic (inventory management, sorting/auto evolving/transferring Pokemon, keeping best XX Pokemon based on CP/IV, suggestions to radar, suggestions to trading, pokestops) etc - all of which surfaced during the "cheating" and will hopefully benefit users in future.

Don't think that gym thing is a soft ban, had it happen as well, it's more of a GPS glitch. Move away a bit and go back.

Should I play at when my gps malfunctions and drops me into a spawn point? Or is it unethical?

i have an Eevee ,144 CP.
According to http://www.pgoiv.com/, it's got Pokemon potential :
13% - 97%

how should i proceed?
should i evolve?powerup?
should i give him a name and choose how to evolve him?

At 144cp I wouldn't bother unless you are doing a mass evolve and you get a lot of eevees. your evolve will only get to 300-380cp depending which one you choose so its gonna be pretty average to bad

<snip>

I have two gyms, and at work I have a pokestop close enought that I can pick up pokeballs when I go have a smoke.

<snip>

I only fight it when I have a smoke. you can try take it back, it wont matter I will just keep taking it back over and over

Went for a smoke, caught a growlith.

<snip>

<snip>

honestly like sinbad is with Zubat I am with Growlith. I open the app once an hour to go for a smoke and I catch a growlith before I walk out of the office. most of the time I find another one when having that smoke

<snip>

the one in the office here I have tried every hour when I smoke, best I have done is beaten everything once, then I get kicked out.

You can thank me later.

If you really want you can go ahead and evolve it but don't do the rename trick. Wait until you are in the 20's level wise and can get a ~700CP Eevee before doing the rename trick, even with the nerf Vaporeon is still a beast in gym battles.

my other Eevee's are below 80% IV.
should i hold off with evolving ?

so, to confirm , high IV pokemons ,with low CP are not worth evolving?

i am almost level 20. (19,5)

not sure i understand why rename in 20's and not now?

Surely IVs and level are the only differentiators between different pokemon?
so if it's high IV and low CP, it just means its low level?
