Pokemon Go!

So I did my first 2 raids against Articuno and it was awesome. Raid consisted of 16 players in a private group to prevent spoofing.

Unfortunately I was unable to catch Articuno. Only one person in the group was able too.

Will see if i can do some more raiding tonight.
 
If any group raid will be happening in the Cape Town area, Sea Point or Blouberg please PM me.

and I have a few friends in the area.

all of them looking for groups.

you would be number 5.
that I know of for a fact.

I dont normally either.
that is why when I saw it on nearby I ran for it.

the fact that I now have 7 blissies, and 125 chancey Candies with my 7 Chansey makes me wonder.

honestly the more you play, and the more you move around to different areas the more rare spawns you find.

since raid battles have started, my wild catches that stand out have been:
2 Blissy (newscafe centurion today and Rademeyers in Moreletta Park 2 weeks ago)
1 Chansey (fearie glen nandos on sunday)
1 Tyranitar (the Glen hospital in PTA east on sunday)
3 Mareep (rademeyers, Kloof hospital and Brooklyn)
5 Larvitar. (all over)

the more active you are the more you see, the faster you get the rare spawns
 
Well I'm in CPR and drive all over the place but don't find allot. Thinks it's cause I just hit level 27
 
Evolved myself an Ampharos yesterday :D

The joys of double candy from 10(3.3)km egg hatches :D

Also have basically blown through level 31 :D

i dont think level has anything to do with it.
its all random.

but hang tight. rare spawns do happen. but being in a sightings group does help.

now all I need is:
unown
Tyrogue
Yanma.
then my dex is complete (without traveling)

side note, i anyone is thinking about traveling in order to catch regionals, florida.
south florida gets heracross and corsola. north florida gets Tauros...
3 region spesifics in one US state...

Of that list Unkown is the only one I haven't seen.

Think I've got only a few to go, excluding the region exclusives, to complete my gen 1 and 2 dex's.

Sitting on 230 caught 233 seen.

Also getting a sun stone or 2 wouldn't hurt.

For Yanma got to the east rand more specific kempton park, pretty common there. I have enough for its evolution in the next gen already....for tyrogue...hatch to eggs guy.

Regarding your list though, those all depends on your biome (very apparent that it is a desert) and because there is currently a bonus to spawn rates.
I am swimming in grass and bug mons...i frikken hate them....never have i been so glad to go to work...at least there i get urban spawns...but yet nothing ridiculous like a Dragonite or Tyranitar yet

I lived in Norkem Park until Sept last year. then I moved to Pta.
and I am in the Kempton/Birchley area on Saturday.

looking to go do a biit of grinding, where would you reccomend, that is safe to walk around alone?
because I remember one spot being pretty good in terms of pokestops and Gyms, but dodgey IRL.

231 caught, 234 seen.
Kangaskhan was seen in a gym. I know the person who put it there did take a trip to Aus as I met him though a raid group.
yanma, saw 1 it ran :(
Hericros seen in a gym. pretty sure its a spoofer.
