They are mostly ceremonial, they don't really have any power that any other rich people don't. What they are, is a symbol of the country's history.

Hey if I'm going to be the representative of traditional voters on this forum, I demand reasonable compensation.

Thing is tho, for Afriforum branding I'm going to have to charge extra since I'm not a member. A lot extra. Seventy million 500 thousand and listen properly 60 thousand, at least.

I think things became complicated between Maimane & myself the day he posted that picture of the blacks with small boulders behind their backs meant for white racist skulls.
I don't care who did what, if I wanted to vote for a barbarian/savage in a suit I could've picked between a whole lot of other parties on the list.

Less crap in terms of corruption maybe. Mashaba is hell bent on exposing corruption only. Doesn't seem to care about much else.

But nothing has actually changed for us personally. We've actually had more power and water outages, the roads are still schit and now this property valuation scheme that's designed to milk even more out of us.

They can get fscked in the election if they keep going down this path. We trusted them with our vote and they screwed us.

It's issues like this why they will never seriously challenge the ANC. They actually did well in the last election because they managed to get people to come out and vote for them. The numbers are there for them to make big gains.

But with the way they've been governing when given the chance, I wouldn't be surprised if people revert back to apathy, giving the ANC a win by default. I'm certainly considering not voting, or spoiling my ballot, for the first time because there is honestly nobody that I feel like voting for. The DA have fscked themselves over...

So I'm going to ask the dumb question. How much time do we give a new party to fix roads and infrastructure?

I'm willing to give them time. If they don't screw us over while trying to do it. But I haven't even seen them trying. It's all about getting ex-ANC people arrested for corruption and getting more moneh. Fsck the people...
 
We all need to learn to give other parties a try(besides EFF and religious based parties), it would just be boring to constantly have the ANC sitting in government with their backwards ways.

But who? COPE's leader in parliament truly says great things in debates and comes across as the right choice. But what needs to be remembered is that he was part of the ruling party for many many years and only left as he fell out of favour along with Mbeki. So not sure if he can be trusted.

AGANG. Useless tossers whose founder is a one hit wonder. And they supported the land expropriation thing which is an automatic disqualify in my opinion.

Thats terrible logic. People should vote who they believe will improve the situation the most, not "give it a try".

We have them a shot and they blew it. There's no other real alternative. I don't want to just vote against the ANC, I want to vote FOR someone who will improve the quality of my life. Not make it worse by taxing me even more while delivering nothing noticeable...

Ok, I didn't mean it in that way.
I meant that people want to choose a new party but they are reluctant to, because they fear the past might repeated itself.
