Yesterday I noticed an orange gazebo (you know those cheapo tent like things) was standing at the entrance of our local P'n'P. Didn't have much time but threw a quick glance to check them out.
So what I gathered was this:
Table with info brochures: No
Any devices connected to a laptop to check out how it works: No
Any devices at all: No
Recognizable sales personnel: No

So basically all I found was a bunch of ppl gathered under the gazebo, talking to each other. If that really was some kind of marketing appproach by the next big thing in SA telecommunicatons - well, it failed badly.

No surprises there mate. Everything neotel does is in an unprofessional manner. Poor marketing, check. Poor market research, check... If they had done proper research they would have known that people didn't want a wireless service that is not even portable, an out dated device with a pathetic upload speed and not to mention no simultaneous voice and data. Forgot to mention poorly made (I am on my third device in less than a year).

The worst part is the poor customer service. Read the forum and you can see that loads of people are having problems and the rep seems to have taken an extended break and is unhelpful and soooooo unfunny that he makes Dane Cook seem like a genius:eek::p

Yep I know. Been with Neotel for some months, had 2 devices, bad service, bad speeds, inconsistant connection, unresponsive helpline, the works. Was just curious to see how they would try to push Neotel in our suburb. But right, yes, it didn't look like they care much at all. They don't even try to look good to sell more. Every girlscouts cookie selling outfit would've looked more professional.
