A New Jersey woman was eating at Popeyes with her family when she made this disgusting discovery

Rosemary Thomas sat down to dinner at a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Harlem, New York with her daughter, sister and niece when she found what appeared to be a rat head in one of the pieces of chicken.

Thomas took to Facebook to complain about the incident, later writing of the traumatic effect it had on her daughter.

“Yesterday, she ate nothing all day,” Thomas wrote. “All she said she could think of was the rat head after she consumed the crispy part.”

Popeyes spokeswoman Renee Kopkowski told the Huffington Post that the owner of the franchise plans on meeting with Thomas to sort out the incident.

“He’s meeting with [Thomas] as soon as she is able,” Kopkowski told the Huffington Post. “In the meantime, he ordered a health department inspection and they found nothing out of the ordinary. We’ve checked with suppliers and they feel it is most likely chicken organ meat. We will work with the guest to recover the product and test it to confirm that.”

This hasn’t been the first time someone has cried rats in a Popeyes.
In July, Sherry Luke of Houma, Louisiana claimed to find rat inside her chicken breast, and the company again claimed that it was most likely chicken organ meat.

This is the best fried chicken I've ever had. I can't wait. Everytime I land in the States this is the first place I wanna eat at. Even if they give me fried rat, it would be heaven with the Bayou Buffalo sauce.

Popeyes is what KFC dreams to be one day when it's all grown up.
 
a few years back, didnt another "american style" fried chicken place try their luck with dismal success.

Churches Fried chicken or similar? Also rolled out a few stores (i think one was at The Zone in Rosebank?)

if popeyes keep their quality up and prices right... they can give KFC a run.
having had both i would easily go to popeyes if available..
