portable 320g seagate___fell__now not working??

hey there

can anybody help me..my drive fell and now wen i plug it in it gives me a blue screen and for a second i can see a message about NON PAGE ERROR before it reboots??

any chance of getting the drive to work again

Blue screens pretty much explain themselves don't you think?

But the answer to your question (the question without the question mark after it, not the statement with the two question marks after it) is no.

Been there, done that. I feel your pain.

edit: To read the bsod, keep tapping F8 after the post screen and you should get a boot menu. Select the option "disable automatic restart on system failure". Then at least you can read the blue screen - it will hang there.

But you confuse me because you say it's a portable drive. Are you booting from it...?

Take it out the housing and see it works that way.

I think he means when he plugs it in the pc blue screens.

Sure... it will work again as a door stop or paper weight!

But as a hard drive ... um no. Sorry man!
