I'm looking for a portable braai.
Looking for a 40cm x 30cm grid size at a minimum, and something that is light and folds / packs up small.
Budget is cheaper = better, but ideally less than R1200.

I've seen a bunch of options but was hoping to get some personal recommendations.

I have their older one and it fits an 430mmx340mm grid.

I also saw this which has a 600 x 300 grid, but in comes in a bit heavy at 9kg

I've made a flat pack one some time ago, meant for camping

Looks like a Cobb clone - loved my Cobb and used it weekly, but I got very tired of cleaning it even when using (DIY) sleeves.

That little Weber looks great!
I plan to use it for holidays (beach braais, game drive braais etc) so not a full time braai. Did the Cobb work well while you were using it?

It did! It took a couple of tries to get comfortable with it, but after that it was smooth sailing and very economical. My only complaint is or was the cleaning, but I think that is something that could mostly be solved by throwing money at it. The inner sleeves do help a bit, and I can only assume that a stainless steel grill grid is easier to clean that the default grill grid.

I reckon I'll pull the trigger on the Lifespace jobbie - it seems to tick all the boxes
