Does anyone know when the newly released Ecoflows will be available in SA? Really like they have the top notch battery in it, compared to the older version.

Waiting to see if there are any Black Friday specials on the River Pro. Might pick one up to tide me over until the Delta 2 is available.

Takealot seems to have gotten stock somewhere. Just not sure if I should bite the bullet now, or wait till Black Friday for a possibly better deal.
Don't they use 120v instead of 220v?
Also, I don't think they would allow it on the airplane (large lithium batteries).
Check the classifieds section. Someone was selling one there for a decent price.
What I don't like about those is there isn't any use for them without the EcoFlow River Pro. If your river pro breaks you sit with a expensive battery that can't be used (not use if its compatible with River Pro 2).
The other thing is that it is also NMC so only around 800 cycles to 80% capacity iirc.
I use an external LFP battery to keep my River Max at 80% while I use it. It is limited to around 160W input though which is fine for most of what I use it for. The aim is to save cycles on my unit.

I have spoken to reps and sadly we are only likely to get them in March...
I wish I had known this about battery maintenance when I got my Delta. I just kept the thing at 100% not knowing that this affects battery life. It's still okay, but I've used it extensively for a year and a half and it's probably degraded at least 10%. Out the box I would use about 12-15% of its total power in a single load shedding session, but now that's up to about 20-25%.

Have you recently run it empty?
No, all the stuff I've read say run it (although this applies to lithium ion batteries in general) to about 20% and then recharge to 80%. I've done that a couple of times recently.

May need to run empty to recalibrate, my River Pro calculations were off and when trying to run it empty it sat on 1% for a long time. After that calculation seemed more in line with expected Wh.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a River Pro. Takealot was going out of stock fast and not sure if the price will drop any lower so decided to just do it before stock runs out.

How do you hook it up to your Ecoflow?
Wonder if a female cigarette socket hooked up with crocodile clips to the other battery will work, and then just connect the Ecoflow with the cigarrette lighter charger cable?
Connect the battery via thick copper wire to xt60 input port. You can get the xt60 connectors and make your own cable.
I tried the cicarette socket with crocodile clips before and the cicarette socket became expreamly hot and I only pulled 8amps form it. The wattage I got form it also fluctuated as if it didn't make proper connection. Rather go the other route.
