My initial plan was to getba River Pro and Extended battery. It's definitely the cheapest way to get the highest capacity.

Then they announced the Delta 2 and later the River 2 range. Getting LFP batteries makes more sense to me. Only the Delta 2 series seem to have the capability to add external batteries in the new range. So that would be a better future proof option.

Decided to grab a River Pro to get me through the period until the Delta 2 releases here. Hopefully they won't be outrageously expensive when they land.

I'm saving up for a delta 2 as a replacement to my delta. The life cycles on the newer units are just too good to pass up.

Price wise I think we'll see them replace the older units. A delta and delta 2 are priced the same in the US last time I checked.

Look like less cycles and a heavier unit. Doesn't mention recharge time. Still, if they're cheaper than ecoflow's products might be a good backup to the backup.

Yeah I think they would be cheaper than the EcoFlows like their current models are for the same capacity...
But EcoFlow does faster charing, higher power output and a lot of other smart features which these probably won't have.
 
As suspected Takealot screwed up my order for the XT60 cable. Just got a notification that my order is cancelled since supplier don't have stock/ can't source the item.

I ordered 2 of the cables and 1 of them was cancelled. Hopefully I'll still get the one unless they are going to wait till Monday to cancel the order completely.

If that happens I'll be beyond pissed.

Why dont you just order an XT60 connector from communica and make up your own cable? They are dirt cheap and I have just checked on the website, they do seem to have stock.

I have changed my solar panel connector to a 'Brad Harrison Grey' connector (for camping purposes) and will just make up a Brad Harrison to XT60 cable to use with our River Pro.

Sadly that's not a skillset I have. I wouldn't trust myself near electrical cabling. Plus I think with assembly of XT60 connectors there's even soldering involved.

At 11k I would rather go with the Ecoflow River Max or Pro. IMO it would be a better buy.

I am skeptical about the 750Wh claim. I see it weighs about the same as the River Max.

I don't see the warranty period?

Can see how many cycles can it do? Does it use LFP or NMC batteries?

They claim 2000 cycles so that must be LFP right?

Yes I noticed the 10 hours and for some this can be a deal breaker.
But it means it can still be used twice a day and in CT that should serve most scenarios.
Also, hopefully the 65 TV and soundbar will not use the full capacity in 2 hours.

They could be lying about the cycles though. It would be hard to tell.

Maybe contact the supplier and ask them that the battery cell chemistry is.
