Yeah it is. Spec sheet list it as a UPS, also specifies a 10ms transfer/switch time. The youtube video on it also points it out as a main feature that you keep plugged in at all times.
Having doubts about it though, some really bad reviews around it and sinetechstore. Looks like its back to waiting for some good trolleys to be back in stock.

I just ordered one of these given the price point for a LiFePO4 Battery and my use case to power the entertainment unit and standing lamp for those crap night time LS slots...tired of watching Netflix on the laptop! Will try update you all on how I find it but seems only positive reviews from what I can find online.

That's either a outright scam where you won't receive any product or you'll get a product that doesn't match those specs whatsoever. It's not possible for them to sell something like that at the price they're saying.

Website states orders shipped within 4 working days but I have just emailed them for a better ETA and will see what they come back with.

Yesterday I ordered the Headwolf D500 from Security and More, after reading this thread, as it seems what I need (watch TV when the lights go out).
I had ordered and paid for an Eishbox 426 (Sinetech) online. I had to contact them as there seemed to be no progress with the order. I was told that there was no stock and was refunded.
I did a little research and there appears to be an identical model branded 'Solarix Ultra Energy 500W Portable Power Station'.

I purchased the Rentech PPS750 unit last month and can say it functions as advertised and is great. 786Wh capacity with 500W pure sine inverter and UPS functionality for R8500 is a great price compared to the River units. https://powerprovider.co.za/product/rentech-pps750-portable-power-station-500w-786wh/
 
I've got one of these trolley inverters with Lifepo4 batteries running in UPS mode.

I charge and discharge it through two Sonoff POWR2 switches - these can measure daily power usage.

I just compared these two readings over the past two weeks and was surprised by how low the input/output efficiency is.
On average 60%. So 40% of the electricity is wasted!

Have any of you guys tested this?

I was looking at one of these as well and main issue is that it is NMC. It does have much slower charging so you do get more cycles out of it, but the trade-off is 7-10 hours to recharge it...

That's why I'm seriously eyeing the D500. Sure, only 500Wh, but recharges in 5 hours and is lifepo4. Hopefully get some reports back from the other guys buying them.

Oh that's looks pretty good actually, better than the Eishbox.
Have you tested the UPS functionality, any issues when switching over to battery?
Is it noisy when running battery or when running on AC charging the battery?
 
Any news about when the River 2 / Delta 2 are coming to SA?
 
My Gizzu 296Wh unit just ran flat during load shedding for the first time. Either that or the unit just died completely.

I think it's just not getting enough time to recharge now and I'm only pulling around 50W from it. The charging solution is extremely feeble though.

Weird, maybe they scimped on the built-in charger. In general, NMC should charge faster, but handle fewer total cycles and be less tolerant of discharging below 5 or 10%
