I have several of these at home.
Bluetti is a known brand with sales in the US, EU and the UK. Like Ecoflow it's a Chinese brand. They're the same quality essentially. Ecoflow has more money for marketing though. The Bluetti NMC have >1000 cycles while Ecoflow can only do 800 cycles. That's because Bluetti limit the DOD and only go 80-90% DOD before powering down. I have the Bluetti 500Wh/300W model and it's pretty nifty.
You said the River so I assumed either the River or the River max. That being said years is relative. I have the Delta which used the same batteries as the River Pro and after just short of two years and all the load shedding we had in 2022 it's probably capping out at 65% capacity. I reckon it'll be down to 45% or less by the end of this year with our current load shedding.
Lol. Bluetti is not unknown. They're very popular in the US.
The River Pro will not last longer than the Bluetti EB70. That's the difference between NMC and Lifepo4.
The extra options are another story. The Ecoflow features are better than Bluetti's.
Better is subjective. Bluetti LiFePO will be at least as good as Ecoflow LiFePO. If your device charges faster, likely it will have fewer cycles. In chemistry, speed = heat and that reduces longetivity.

you can buy add on battery packs for the bluetti now locally at a price of course .
What models? I only see battery packs for the high end stuff online.

I have the River pro 720w, you can double to 1400w with an extended battery also. does the eco lifespan cut short due to lowest % drain or fast charge. do you only recharge when it's like 30% before fully recharged again.
i just bought it for now, by the time is completely busted newer and better models will be available again. so i'm happy for now for my current needs

Bluetti is well known in the US. Been around for a couple of years. They offer a 2 year warranty iirc.
Hobotech on youtube does a good job on reviews.
No, but at the moment most are not gonna be LFP. They'll likely be one of the other 2 or 3 popular (usually nickel based) chemistries, of which NMC is one. So as I said previously - you can charge faster, pull out much more power (usually = higher current); but fewer charge - discharge cycles than LFP. By a lot.
I dont think it was sold out. the seller was probably just tweaking stuff. It back now.The River is NMC. 500 cycles. I'm specifically looking for Lifepo4 portable batteries which offer 2000+ cycles.
Doesn't matter though. Unfortunately for me I moved too slow on the Bluetti. Sold out and price went up by 3k

So my thoughts are as long as you can charge from 0 to 100% in 4-6 hours, you're good. I've never had to actually take my Ecoflow from 0 to 100% in less than 2 hours. At least, not yet.
No need to use a boost converter. Been doing it for a while. I use it to keep my Ecoflow charged to 80% while using it. The idea is to minimize charge cycles and I can use it for extended periods without draining the internal battery.
In the app you can set it to charge from car socket or solar. With the solar setting it will draw more watts from the battery (up to 200W with the River Max IIRC. I think the max Ive seen is 160W from my 12v battery). I just leave it on car setting because I usually just draw around 100w.
