Works well, but still just only plugged into the wall socket and the devices onto it's outlet. I have not yet gotten hold of someone that can wire it up into the DB for me.

Anyone found a unit that does pass through power that doesn't switch on the fans? My Delta 2 does and it gets pretty annoying that I have to switch it off at night

No, rather don't. These things are sensitive to surges and other voltage fluctuations.

I suppose lightning can be one cause

And naturally load shedding

With the switch on and off of big load , cities at a time it can cause sag/spike as the load changes

And naturally as the load can be too much and we get faults on cables/transformers a big short can cause massive dip and naturally a spike when that dead short trips

But hey not electrical engineer
So maybe sitting the pot miss

for the loadshedding surges, it's probably a good idea to delay the power return after loadshedding by a couple of seconds then?

No idea, probably minutes
As sometimes they start the area in stages and if one of the areas trip it can probably cause surges

But hey just speculating don't know enough to say
