The Rizzen uses a ternary battery , much lower charge cycles than the ecoflow before degradation occurs . Also lower efficiency ~75% so you will get an actual 540wh vs 612wh(85%) on the ecoflow.
 
What is the smallest liFePO4 Power bank available in SA?

Only need 120WH for stage 6 but needs to be used as "UPS" ie don't want to worry about charging or cycle life.

Anyway IC finally refunded my Ecoflow Delta 2 and given that the thing is R3,000 cheaper now I got a credit of that to my credit card and a new Delta 2 with 5 year warranty. Let's hope there aren't any more battery failures with this one.

Just be careful. If within 6 months you can probably get a new unit or a refund (as I did) but you'll be without a unit for several weeks. Once it's past 6 months and within 5 years you have to wait for Ecoflow to collect, diagnose and repair the unit. That can take a while. I see Ecoflow now sell refurbished Delta 2s. These could be returns they fixed.
I suppose the solution would be to have two Ecoflow River 2 Max'es. That's R20K at the moment but if you need it for oxygen then if one unit packs up, as per above you can at least have the other, or keep the money aside to buy a new unit once the old packs up and you need to send it in. Maybe that's better since these Ecoflows have gone down in price, the River 2 Max was R14,000 and now sells for R10K on Takealot.

I see IC now sell Ankers which also have a 5 year warranty.

There are companies which hire out CPAP machines and Oxygen concentrators or these can be purchased outright. These companies may also provide backup power for hire, maybe some sort of trolley or PPS. Medical aid may cover that. I would recommend the patient speak with his or her doctor. Medical aid would prefer to pay a few bucks extra with motivation than have the patient rock up at the emergency department and need admission for oxygen repeatedly.

When it comes to the government, I don't know. That's a mission as tertiary hospitals decide who needs such devices or oxygen and they organise this. I don't know if there's provision for power, I suppose they would provide additional oxygen refills, at least in large centres, eg Cape Town.

I actually bought a slightly bigger unit from them on Saturday at their Bedfordview branch. They definitely are legit, but since the unit is new, I cannot comment on the performance of this system. Assisted by a friendly chap called Tyrone.

As it was collected, it's plug-and-play, but substantially heavier than what I expected. It is pre-assembled and configured. Currently it's just plugged into the wall socket in our TV-room, and on the outlet, there is a multi-plug connected powering a 55" Samsung TV, a 5.1 Samsung soundbar system, a DSTV Explora decoder, a Nova media player and small network switch.

The next step will be to get it integrated into the electrical DB, excluding the stove and geyser. Then, when finances allow it again, start adding some solar panels.

Thanks for all the answers so far. That's the kind of setup I'm planning. Does it make much noise?

Any battery is replaceable even an iPhone...

The question is how user-friendly it is to do so. :D

The main down side is that it takes 4 hours to recharge and it has an external power adapter.

If she is looking for something a bit better for +- R1k extra then look at the Ecoflow River 2 and the Bluetti EB3A.
