Porting from MTN to Vodacom

I want to open a new contract with Vodacom and port my number from my MTN contract to the Vodacom one. Problem is that the MTN contract is in my mothers name while the Vodacom one will be opened in mine. I need to know what sort of process must happen as well as what documentation will be necessary in order to make this happen!

For you to port a contract number, you first need to cancel the contract and pay whatever they quote you! Ask them to not cancel the number but make it prepaid.

Either cancel, or to avoid penalties just continue by assigning new number to a contract, freeing the number for porting.
