Around 14,000 post office workers will embark on a countrywide strike over salaries from Thursday, the Communication Workers Union said on Tuesday.

As far as my local PO is concerned, they are so slow and mediocre, they might as well be on strike all the time for all I know!

SinghDude, please confirm: Will the Post Offices be closed for business from tomorrow onwards?

well the strike will be in effect for staff that are unionized and part of the bargaining unit. Post offices will be open during strike.However staffing will be an issue. Branch Managers and other CTC employees obviously cant strike.Im in IT so yeah i will be working :erm:
