PostBox-Courier.com how to

How did it go? I am finding it a tad cumbersome and inefficient for now, process isn't that streamlined.

Ordered stuff yesterday and as yet it is has to be delivered to their NY depot (supplier is in Georgia), so the jury is still out...

My toy arrived on Monday - Berco delivered to my house, so all in all it was a good experience.

Weird, I tried to order last night, went through the process, received the parcel number and then nada, nothing - no address where to ship to, no email with confirmation, tried mailing them as well, no response yet this morning

You have to do the donkey work :)

The depot addresses are here:

http://www.postbox-courier.com/recieving-depots.php

So you give your supplier these details for the relevant depot for the shipping address, along with the all important Parcel ID.

You only receive an email from these guys once they have received your parcel.

I could stand to be corrected, but the email goes to the UK. They are likely going to follow up today - they are two hours behind us.

Are you stuck on item 4?
3. Login to posbox-courier.com and click on "parcel manager" and then click on "book parcel". Fill in all the details and click "book this parcel" A parcel ID number will then be created that you will need later.

4. Go to the website that you wish to buy your item from. Use the relevant postbox-courier.com receiving depot address for the country you are buying from. eg. if you are making a purchase from the Amazon USA, use their New York address. All the receiving depot's addresses are here.

5. When you fill in your name for the shipping address, fill it in with your parcel ID like so: John123456 Smith.
This will allow PostBox Courier to immediately know who's parcel it is.

cool, thanks, as I said then, a bit cumbersome, would expect some sort of confirmation email or the address to be on the order page.
now let me plod off to see if the binoculars that I wanted are still on sale....

Did you ship from USA or UK? google maps shows some construction company at their USA address, with a UPS van nearby :) (maybe he was delivering your cat?)

I've ordered two items, one from California (going to NY depot) and one from Germany (going to UK depot).

Got notification about the UK depot receiving my parcel, and have dispatched it yesterday.

Still no word from the NY depot, but that's because of USPS! So slow :/

Chances are they are sharing the address, and have a small rented room out back. As long as they deliver the stuff it's all that matters.

maybe they setup a table in the parking lot next door, keeps costs down :)

Hehehe, I did order from the US - from Amazon. I understand the US address is a depot only.

sigh, well the binoculars I wanted are gone, pity, but at 1am their website wasn't clear on how to ship.

anyhow I do need to try them out, so will browse some Aussie sites as well

Glad to say my parcel arrived about an hour ago, only issue I had with with US Depot in NY (beside having to pay the damn tax), is that delivery was scheduled on a public holiday (Martin Luther King Day) and Gary didn't seem to know that this was a public holiday until he contacted the US Depot.

I did indeed think it was funny that there is a UPS fan in Street View! :D

If you looking closely at the Aus depot, there is a shipping company nearby, assume they handle the stuff for Postbox-Courier.

But, am happy with their service, and will def. use them again (as well recommend them!)
