Power steering

Is it advisable or even possible to install power steering in a car? Also air conditioning for a smaller size engine. Newer cars come out with aircons but is it recommended to install it in an older model lets say 1997 - 2000 model cars with smaller engines?

Wouldn't even bother. Time and money spent; along with the reliability issues of this would not make it worth while.

VW citi golf had an after market(approved by vw) aircon. It worked quiet well. No problems in the first three years(sold car after that)

Power steering don't even bother.

There are some really good companies in SA and some dodgy ones.

If you want power steering and aircon, buy a car with them in. Waste of money trying to add them later - it'll cost you as much or more than the car is worth.

Unless you're getting the car for bottom dollar it's bit worth adding power steering. Especially to a 15 year old Fiat

Just buy a new or second hand car

For aircon, open a window.
For steering, get a bigger steering wheel and pump the front tyres rock hard.

To do a propper job will cost you lotsa $$$
