Forgets to take into account that maintenance is 4.4% higher then last year, so yes the EAF is the same, but it's mainly due to maintenance not outages.
That makes up about 2GW plus load shedding hasn't as yet gone passed stage 3.
Yelland is still the wally who said that we were at Stage 8 cause some areas under city power were off for 12 hours. This was during that horrendously bad CP schedule
So maintaining an EAF of 55% for the full year (in line with 2023) would be a good achievement according to Mr Yelland, I guess if demand is trending lower at least loadshedding shouldn't be as bad as last year in that case...

LOL nobody have yet explained to me why CoCT is the only municipality with the "register your system at cost" law? I am still waiting for a plausible explanation, until I get 1, I will see CoCT for what they are, socialist scumbags.

Where in the world does a country's munies not implement and charge for compulsory registration of competitive services? The other provinces will do similar in time.

There is no cost. The registration is free. You've had this explained to you.
I agree, the registration is dumb, but let's be honest about it.
Wasn't it more complicated than that?
And isn't there still a monthly charge for services not rendered, like we have in Jo'burg even for those completely off the leccy grid.

The installers will often charge for the service of registering it for you, which seems perfectly reasonable to me... they're doing work and should be compensated, but the city doesn't charge you to register it as far as I'm aware. That's free.

I wonder whether this will happen as I don't think there are any other buyers and Eskom is "unaware" of the threat; losing 2 000MW cannot be good news though.
